Through Amalia

"Without a doubt one of the greatest challenges and satisfactions of my life, as Gabriel Garcia Márquez said. "Happiness is in how to climb the steep slope"

April, 2020 | "Running the risk you will learn".

Life has certainly given me the opportunity to meet incredible people and at the same time put my life on hold, always at the expense of renewing myself, which led me to this story called AmaliA.

The wrong idea of doing it, so many doubts, will I succeed? They crossed my mind more than once. For love dare? A romantic concept, that after weeks the utopian from crystallized became real.

What story to tell? Between piles of books, the answer was dusted off, the magnitude of writing something passionate between the lines, and losing all faith, the cruelty that exists in those who seek a way out and what we dare to do when everything falls apart, defines us as people.

August, 2021 | "Resilience".

It would have been a year after the start of the pandemic, the impact of it and the events during that period, lack of motivation, health, professional, personal, and even having lost much of what was written in AmaliA, was exhausting. the wrong idea of leaving him and even the opportunity to leave my nation, came to mind. A constant fight between continuing and abandoning as the days passed. Until it finally happened, the spark that would unleash everything...

The documentary "Our Planet" where she showed how great the diversity of the planet and at the same time, incredible people, doing extraordinary things. In it, I found my motivation.

"November, 2022 | "Return".

In many ways, a year of self-discovery, the opportunity for professional, personal and academic growth began to lead the way, knowing in person the experiences of some of my favorite authors in the completion of their books, accompanied by marked experiences in Africa, were key to conclude the main knot in AmaliA.

"March, 2024 | "From lost to the River".

The year 2024 arrived, going through a creative block from previous months and with the investigation stopped; After the synopsis was rejected by publishers and contests, there were questions in mind such as: What is happening? What can I improve? What can I change? Sometimes the idea of doing it all again was latent.

The moral support of family, friends and colleagues, along with the burning desire to tell this story, was necessary to step back and improve techniques, finding incredible people and the necessary guidance in an academy for novelists, the vision of other stories, their experiences and sharing the same desire; They were the impulse and paths necessary to break this blockade. From this, a phrase was present in the mind "there is nothing more to lose" or as the British would say: “From lost to the River”

March, 2025 | "Easter Eggs & Influence".

Throughout this beautiful journey, I undoubtedly confirm the idea that "We are the sum of all the places we've visited, the books we've read, the lips we've kissed, and the people we've met."

The characters who inspired this story were undoubtedly the enormous impact of Benedetti's "Laura Avellaneda," the luxury and selective approach of Manuel Vilas's "Irene," the poetry hidden in each letter of Alejandra Pizarnik's diary, and the drive in Brianna Wiest's words, which led us to refine what AmaliA is today.

Throughout the work, we will find personal references...

November, 2025 | "Full stop, My First Manuscript".
